This was taken on the same day I took the beetle...:)..Through my lens I found this interesting:)...It is a chinese physician shop...The healer...

Sent a roll of film to a photo lab in Batu Gajah this morning... I've to wait for just 1 hour(I love when they can do it fast) and they didn't even charged me extra(I love and I love this photolab more and more already:P)...Great service I guess...

But sadly...it's my photos that are not that great..I'm not sure if it was just this roll ...Most of it turned to be out of focus..blur..A little bit unhappy and feeling low...do you believe in photographer's block?.. I do..and I think I'm having it right now:(..

So what's the solution?..challenge myself for something different?...is it hard for being consistent?..true or not our emotional state do effect our creativity?...

Everybody have their own opinion on which is better and which is not...Ok everybody respect that...Let us not go all over again fighting or may I say debating on something that is the same ..Both are photography..If you're in love with film meaning you're in love with photography right? same goes to digital...

No matter what camera you're using,manual or auto function on your camera..when your pictures came out ok according to you..then it is enough...(if you meant to keep it to yourself la) but if it is for others to see please prepare yourself for critics..bad or worse we don't know..as long as we can learn from it and do better in the future..

Frankly, I'm not against dslr at all...I'm just in love with film photography that's all..If I have a chance to own a dslr(which for now I can't afford) i shall not let the chance slip away..

But what made me worried..A lot of photo labs especially the small one have stop developing and selling films..They started to focus more on digital...I don't blame them...They just follow the trend and it is for the sake of their business...

Let's stop fighting or debating or whatever you call it..let's unite..can we?

I never knew this place will be so nice in the picture...In real life it is even nicer:)..not that far ..One of the rarest place I ever found in Tronoh...Of course it is not like Bali or any other nice and famous places...I'm glad I'm here..I'm glad that Tronoh is not yet violated by development...I hope it will remained..

Photography..the more you travel the more great pictures you can captured..but what if ones cannot afford to travel to other places besides his/her own country?..As for me...it's ok..sometimes..something that near to you can be the most beautiful thing ever...I don't know when I can afford to travel to other countries..In the mean time what I can do is..I won't stop searching the nicest and rarest place in Tronoh...I know there is more about Tronoh than just 'pekan mati'..

This picture was taken this morning...Our short trip to Gua Tempurung..gua or in english we call it cave...This was my first time and I'm lovin it!..But sadly I just tried level 2 'Top of The World'..not the easiest..but not that adventure..My sister and her friends went for level 4 'The Grand Tour' it took almost 4 hours to complete this level..All the slidings(the toughest) and the crawling made them came out all wet, happy and with ruined shoes..Definitely gonna try it next time:)...oh yeah..there were more foreign tourists than the locals..:) more about Gua Tempurung ---> www.guatempurung.com

Tronoh in black and white is a project that i've been working on since last year, and it is still in progress..What so special about Tronoh...As for me I can't really describe it by words..You have to come here and experience it yourself...I love this place. Since the first time I layed my eyes upon this place I already knew this is where I want to be:)..

Outsiders..people who came to this town because they've mistaken between UTP Tronoh and the town of Tronoh(meaning they were lost), people who lived here for their whole life, people who came to study near to this place(UTP, Uitm) they were people who said Tronoh is nothing...A cowboy town.. A place where 'jin bertendang'...ada apa dengan Tronoh? ..They've been very skeptical about Tronoh..When you have only a little experience on this town doesn't mean it have to become a ghost town to you...

Even though I've already lived here for 5 years, I myself still don't know a lot about it...but i'm willing to learn to know more...It's like an onion you have to peel it off one layer at a time...so please anybody who read this or have been to Tronoh and have a negative thoughts about it..don't judge Tronoh by it looks...

Enough for now...This project will take many years...I don't know when it is going to end...But what I will do is..I will never stop taking photos of Tronoh(the people, the activities, the old buildings that still survive)..

Cameron Heaven:)...I wish to come here again...We've plan for this coming long holidays(3 days only)..on Wesak day..Along suggested Pulau Pangkor..not a bad idea..But still cameron is our first choice(Ami and I)...

I was in standard 4 the first and last time I visited cameron (before this trip)...I forgot most everything about cameron except for the coldness...(mcm pegi obersea)..So on 15th Mayr was my 2nd visit to cameron(soon to be 3rd, 4th , 5th...eheh)..I love the tea plantation view...Bharat tea plantation what it is called...We thought there is no more Boh plantation...(ada sebenarnya)..we surfed(after the trip) Boh plantation even nicer..so hopefully this 3rd trip we manage to reach there...

The fact about cameron now..It's not so cold anymore..except early in the morning..still you can feel the coldness but when it is 10 a.m and above you'll started to remove your sweater..a little bit hot...It is the best place for jalan2 taking pictures:)..

Forgot to mention the important part...The best route to cameron (if you're from perak) is the simpang pulai route(jgn keluar tol simpang pulai)...less winding road..and no need to honk if you want to pass a very narrow corner...

Dusty and rusty. The best words to describe this blog:)...It been so long since I post anything here...If anybody still visiting this blog..thanks so much for that..But one thing for sure I never stop taking pictures...Lately I've been longing to shoot sunset...Planned to go to Lumut..but never made it(byk sgt halangan)..I just managed to shoot sunset in Tronoh...It turns out not so bad:)...I hope this won't be the last post in the blog...I've made a promise to myself..won't forget the blog..This is the place where I met a lot of people with same interest as me...even some of them are close friend:)..So enjoy the pictures..

Nikkormat@Nikomat (in Japan)... It was an all-metal, mechanically (springs, gears, levers) controlled, manual focus SLR with match-needle exposure control, manufactured in Japan from 1965 to 1967. It was available in two colors: black with chrome trim and all black. It used a metal-bladed, vertical travel, focal plane shutter with a speed range of 1 to 1/1000th second plus Bulb and flash X-sync of 1/125th second. The Nikkormat F-series had a shutter speed ring concentric with the lens mount...It been a new experience to have this kind of slr model...I owned Nikon now ehehe...it is not the best model...but i'm glad to have it as a collection...

As usual i bought it at Lokin a.k.a memory lane, Ipoh perak (vintage heaven)...and quite cheap for a well working camera RM30 only..My lucky day i guess Alhamdulillah:)...except for the lense.. need to get rid all the fungus...

Can't wait to use it...:)

Yeah really so damn slow...so i didn't get a chance to download movies...

Actually this is not the issue that i'm going to babbling about...Yesterday...while i'm in my store..arranging all the books nicely....suddenly came in one school student...hanging around while waiting for her mother to fetch her...i guess she got bored...looking around in my shop..she saw all the dusty books on the shelves...and started to asked questions...questions which involves so many whys..."why are you selling the books here?"..."no one will know this shop"..."no one will know what you are doing"..what?you teach tuition and only have 20 students?".. "Are you going to survive?" ....all the questions made me realized....is it so bad to live in a small town selling secondhand books...and teaching tuition classes?...some people...ignorant people may think its useless... I've heard a lot of advice...telling me..find another job...better job so that you got more money...fix money every month...even the girl think i should do that..."go to KL find a job...everything there...you can get a lot of money selling books there"...Thats what they are saying including the girl...When every time all the questions shoots I've always wanted to tell them this...."I'm from KL...I've been living in KL for more than 20 years...I'd worked in KL...but you want to know the truth... i never like KL" Its the truth...I'm not lying or defending myself from all the questions...but it came from my heart...I love what I'm doing now...most importantly I love where I am now...What I want..its all here...peaceful...being around with all the people that i love...everything seems nice...To trade what I've got now to KL? definitely i will say no...I never dream to have this life...but I'm glad to have it now...call me conventional I don't mind...Did I felt offended with all the questions? Definitely not...I've been living with it for about 4 years now...so kind of dah tepu:D...This is what i chose..I'm going to stick with it...'until death do us apart' <--- not appropriate but the only quote that I can think about now:D...have a nice life people...

LUBITEL 2:)

This is lubitel guys...newly bought used camera...with a very reasonable price compared to the other seller...I've been dreamt to own a TLR...now i've got it...i'm so complete:D...a bit rusty, dusty here and there...tried to clean it up...ok la..shutter still work...lense need to send for service...a few things missing...but its ok...later send for service at 'uncle manyak munga' ehehe...oh forgot to mention i've bought it at lokin Ipoh<---- flea market...for me its a heaven for vintage stuffs...so yesterday was my luck day!

This is slr minolta x300s...This camera is my very best buy..i bought with a very cheap price...rm18 only:)...adding a collection for my minoltas...same as lubitel need to send for service...

There are alot of other cameras...am interested but the price they offered way to high...so i guess 'tak berbaloi-baloi' for not working camera...(suka main letak harga je dorg)...

Tips:when you want that camera...hold it and ask for the price...and please negotiate to get the cheaper price...they'll give it you...trust me...you must be firm...must show that you're really interested...(buat muka kesian ahahahaha) i'm not an expert...just something to share:)

Submission Requirement:

1) All submissions must be submitted before or on 28th August 2009 by 5:00 pm. Submission forms are available at PAM Centre, 4&6 Jalan Tangsi 50480 Kuala Lumpur or downloadable at www.pam.org.my

2) Entries are free of charge.

3) Each submission must be in softcopy (CD or email to pamhcc@gmail.com) of the image with captions

tk byk yg bleh di ceritakan...hr nih sepertimana yg dijanjikan film telah dihantar utk didevelop(maaf anda tidak dpt sekeh saya:D)..hr nih jugak dpt hasilnya...seperti biase hati sgt2 teruja n berdebar2 tgukan hasilnya...tetapi malang...tidak seperti diharapkan...mgkin silap dr sy..atau silap dr kedai gmbr itu(kedai kt batu gajah)...kedai baru.. hajat nk try test kepoweran kedai itu...erm entahlah....mgkin juga slh sy setting aperture shutter speed tk kene...erm hati rasa tk puas..esok hantar lagi tapi kedai di Ipoh pulak...sila kritik dan kutuk...hanya ini yg dapat di tunjukkan kerna sy rasa gmbr2 ini masih dpt diterima dek akal...kalo tak campak jek sungai:D

What happened?..lots of things actually...i make it short...after a month...finally we managed to update something:).....hey there old friends...:)..

In february a burglar broke into our house...not really broke...the 'setan' came in with a wide open door(long story)...nobody's hurt Alhamdulillah..everything happened too fast and he got my laptop...mmg rezki dier...about a week we kind of scared to sleep in our own house(only 3 of us and all woman)..but now ok lah...manage to sleep soundly(with parang:P)...

Now...we've been very busy with our tuition classess...tiring but fun(best jadik cikgu tuition garang:P)...no time for lokkain:(...(my favourite place ever)..need to save money for 'kedai'...lots...lots of plans...for the time being no new old camera..need to control nafsu sket:P...

Kuala sepetang...famous for mee banjir udang...and it is true:)...we've been there yesterday(k.lina g survey dulu..nanti akak datang bleh bwk g saner tanpa sesat)....mee banjir udang..not at mak teh's stall but salleh's stall near to port weld...its famous among locals...managed took a few shots at kuala sepetang..very nice place...sorry no photos for the time being...have to develop first...forgot to bring our digicam...Unfortunately..after the last shot at salleh's stall suddenly my slr minolta x300 had a problem with the shutter isk..yeah kind of iskiskisk...have to get it fix..later maybe..

Not much fun...insyaAllah there will be more new entries later...

The Silette is sometimes called "The Poor Man's Leica". There are many series of Agfa Silette.. some c/w interesting names such as Ambi Silette, Solina Silette (Lomolina.. u might want to grab this.. hehe), Silette Vario etc.. May check this site - Silette
Ok this description below is about mine..
model : Agfa Silette Pronto-SVS
year : 1953 (Germany)
lens : Agfa Apotar 1:3.5/45mm
* however the shutter needs to be serviced.

Bought this cam last week at Memory Lane at RM35.OO. Try to bargain but maybe they saw me so teruja they insist on the price. And I am that teruja also to pay. It did not look as clean as these shots at 1st, we manage to clean the metal part with 'Autosol Metal Polish' (also made in Germany.. this is a coincidence ok), from the hardware store at RM10 s that add up the price. The leather bag and the camera part could be polished using the kiwi kasut.

This is our best bargain the last 2 weeks while shopping at the Memory Lane. . RM28, in good condition, ready to be used, just the leather casing looks quite worn out. Problems fixed by polishing the surface with the black kiwi kasut. Saw a Polaroid camera afterwards, but sadly it cost RM90 which is unaffordable.. isk

2. New year's 2009..been quite bz..new students register for my tuition class.. and ami's freelance works..

Addicted with vintage cameras currently..every week will be my day out to Memory Lane a.k.a Lokkain Ipoh...searching for vintage cameras...Lucky me already found 2 cameras...minolta x700 which is still working..already tested with battery..second camera a vintage 'Agfa Silette' made in Germany manufactured on 1953...Body, lense still in good condition but the shutter not quite working..need to send for service..later maybe..Photos of the camera will be uploaded soon...

4. War in Gaza..which caught our attention...Gaza's invaded by the Israelis... Innocent citizens of palestine died of bombing, children being shot by snipers... snipers for godsake.. they really mean to shot every citizens... not Hamas. Its really cruel..uncivilised Israelis... What can we do to from here to stop the war... to help the innocents..? Let's start by just doing something.. If we can contribute money.. give out some. If we can spare some time... spread the news.

Fuji film instax mini 7...long lost camera:)....smlm selongkar punyer selongkar di suatu tempat (yg diketahui) akhirnya sy terjumpa balik ini (lihat gmbr di atas) fujifilm instax mini 7...yg hanya pernah digunakan sekali sahaja(sewaktu ianya mula-mula dibeli pd thn 2005)...Kenapa tidak digunakan selepas itu?...kerana harga filmnyer agak tidak mampu utk sy beli pd waktu itu(sekarang juga)...Terjumpanya kembali instax mini ini...membuatkan saya semakin membara2 nk menembak dan menembak lagi:D...Sudah diuji..nampaknya instax mini ini masih lagi berfungsi dgn elok:)....sekian..

It's our another unplanned short trip yet we made it, the 3 of us, in a manual kancil with one manual car driver, one auto car driver and one backseat driver, with baju kurung, kebaya and skirt... damn proud of ourselves.

The trip is tiring yet exciting and also frustrating coz we need to get back to Shah Alam the same day knowing our only manual driver gets sleepy at 11pm and the 3 of us are broke enough even to spend the night in the cheapest room in the town. But its more than worthwhile... Besides the road trip from Bahau crossing Kuala Pilah, Johol, Tampin further to Alor Gajah, arrived in Melaka at dusk, we managed to have short visit to the Pirate Park and walks along the riverside that links the Dutch Square and the Jonker Street. Our 1st stop is the Pirate Park. Not really a fan of such amusement park however it links well to the other side; the old cathay. This side of Melaka I find that evening to be so quiet and the only people loitering around are some foreign workers hanging out.

Must tell you that I'm amazed with the upgraded riverscape of Melaka. The rear side of the nostalgic Melaka shophouses became more interesting than its facade. Would really appreciate it better if the street cafes could serve and consider the Muslim pedestrians too. The conserved shophouses and the beautified riverscape makes the town comfortly and scenicly walkable.

The shoots get shaky when the night came (dunno why.. whether its the cam settings or me) so most of the photos taken at Jonker Street are blur.. Can't wait to get back there (with adequate visiting time and enough cash too coz the Jonker Street sells most of my favourite things!!- sorry k.ninie no cameras sold here)

masa aku form3 masa tu 1997.. aku tuka skolah kat Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi. cikgu aku tanya aku asal mana. Memang aku malas nak jawab bila orang tanya soalan ni... sebab orang2 akan cuba figure out kat mana laaa Tronoh ni. patutnya dah tak tau sudah la.. mungkin awak tu yang tak luas pengetahuan dan mungkin jugak tempat asal aku ni memang tak glemer.. sebab kalau aku pun aku akan cakap.. 'oo kat ________ (sinun atau mana-mana j la tempat yang memang aku tak penah dengar pun) just nak jaga hati orang tu dan mungkin jugak untuk cover yang pengetahuan aku tak luas. Balik google laaa, apa susah kan.

ok berbalik pasal citer tadi.. bila cikgu aku tanya.. aku jawab la.. 'Tronoh' (mesti tak tau punya)

dan memang la dia tatau semacammana sangkaan aku tapi yang kurang ajarnya dia terus cakap 'Mesti kat ulu kan.. sebab tu saya tak tau..'

'Tronoh Theatre Shop (TTS) adalah sebuah kumpulan produksi tidak berdaftar dengan mana-mana pihak, tidak berlesen, tidak bayar cukai, tidak buat laporan; hanya bergiat aktif dalam pementasan teater terutamanya teater Melayu, persembahan 'mime', sketsa dan ada juga usaha untuk merakyatkan filem pendek di Malaysia...

dan perasaan yang agak hepi diawal petikan tu pudar terus bila baca ayat ending dia ...

.... TTS lahir di sebuah pekan kecil lagi terpencil di Tronoh, Perak dan idea penubuhannya .....'

aku tersedar.. ooo masih camtu rupanya... after 11 years.. tronoh masih lagi pekan terpencil rupanya.. tanpa bertanyakan founder organization tu, aku merasakan... mungkin dengan meletakkan adjektif sebegitu tentang tronoh lebih meninggikan nilai ingin tahu orang terhadap organization tu (contohnya untuk orang2 tempatan tronoh mcm aku ni), mungkin nama tronoh tu me'rhymes'kan nama organization tu dan mungkin orang luar akan lebih tertarik terhadap petikan itu sebab bila sebut nama tu adanya thots seperti.. ha? tronoh? tronoh pekan koboi tu? ada theatre project? eh series ke? camner beli tket dier?..

mungkin walaupun kurang rhymes dan kurang komersial dan kerana Tronoh Theatre Shop itu bukan pun diwar-warkan secara 'public-friendly' kepada Tronoh's locals... lebih elok namakan je organization tu UTP Theatre Shop (UTS)

mungkin aku agak sentimental

mungkin memang betul pun tronoh tu pekan kecil lagi terpencil

mungkin kerana aku mengharapkan... mungkin tronoh tempat aku dbesarkan boleh jadi lebih selain jadi objek gurauan kasar.. objek lomo.. objek untuk subjek freehand architecture students... objek untuk rhymekan nama persatuan... dan sebagainya

mungkin walaupun geram aku sebenarnya ambil berat pasal pekan 'lagi terpencil' ni..

mungkin walaupun dia 'lagi terpencil'.. dia bukan tak bermakna

atau mungkin ke lebih elok tronoh tu macam skarang

mungkin ke?

* dan selepas siap post ni baru aku perasan ada dah rupanya post dari knini tentang tronoh dalam version lebih polite.

The Fallen Leaves

Though now we see a dead and fallen leaf,
Within its mould there lies a seed of spring
That waits and hides within this present grief,
Until it hears the quiet west wind sing
A gentle song that speaks of life and light.
And all the land shall sing that murmured song,
